BINGO! BINGO! 生まれて初めてピンと来た♪ 

カリフォルニア時間のころを思い出して、ソネット限定話題から――

ソネットのビンゴが諸事情により2009年11月で終わることになったので、最後に生まれて初めて3列ビンゴをねらってみようという気になりました。1列ビンゴが出来るときには敢えてそれをスタンプせず、待ちに待った数週間。そして今朝――

BINGO! BINGO! あなたにめぐりあえた[finally]

　　と、ビンゴの唄を歌いたい気分だったので、ひさしぶりに童謡のはなし――

 　いちおう歌詞はつぎのようです（典拠のあるテクストが見つかったらなおします）――

　　この歌は、英語のウィキペディア "Bingo (song)" <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bingo_(song)> によれば、起源は不詳。ただ、あのなつかしい『WORLDFOLKSONG』 のサイトでは「アメリカ民謡・スカウトソング」に分類している〔「ビンゴの歌 BINGO SONG 歌詞・日本語訳・試聴」 <http://www.worldfolksong.com/kids/song/bingo.htm>〕ものの、Wikipedia は19世紀末のイギリス各地のヴァージョンに言及しています。そして、初期の歌詞を掲載しています。――

B with a Y—Y with an N,

English folklorist Alice Bertha Gomme recorded eight forms in 1894. Highly-differing versions were recorded in Monton, Shropshire, Liphook and Wakefield, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire and Enborne. ^[2]

　　最初は BYNGO――ってBINGO じゃないやん。勝手に推測（妄想）すれば、アメリカに渡った歌が、ゲームのビンゴならびにその掛け声のイメジとちょっと重なったりしちゃって、アメリカで、替え歌も含め、広範に歌われるようになったのではないかと。

　　それにしても、この歌は、「ゆかいな牧場〔マクドナルドじいさんは農場をもっていた〕」の歌にメロディーも歌詞も似ているように思われるのは気のせいなのでしょうか〔「November 15 マクドナルドじいさんの農場の動物　Old MacDonald Had a Farm 王老先生有塊地」参照〕？　

    それと、There was a farmer [who] had a dog.  という歌詞の英語もアメリカ英語だからなのではなかろうかと思われ。
